The group consists of the following medals which have all been named.

1914-15 Star. Impressed – 2901 PTE E. STEWART 7/BN A.I.F.

British War Medal. Impressed – 2901 DVR PTE E. STEWART 7/BN A.I.F.

Victory Medal. Impressed – 2901 DVR PTE E. STEWART 7/BN A.I.F.

The medals themselves have some wear and the ‘1914/15″ is worn down on the star.

Records exist at Item details (naa.gov.au) which identify he served in the 58th and 59th Battalion in Egypt and France.

Interestingly, whilst I was researching the group, I found another one of Ernest’s items from sale via an antique book shop.
