Original ARD-29 Auxiliary Repair Dock Guam, Marshall Islands “Beavers”, Lighter as pictured.
Personally named to “Jonny Bagwell”.
The lighter is made by “Penguin” which was a well-known Japanese lighter maker.
The USS ARD-29 was an Auxiliary Repair Dock that was launched during WWII and served the US Navy from 1944 to 1971. Primarily used to Repair ships in more remote locations it spent the last 12 years of service in Guam which is depicted on the lighter
The lighter shell is in good to fair condition with some signs of wear and surface marks.
It is in working condition but requires a new wick.
It is a unique piece of history, perfect for display.
