Original ROK Army Commander Vietnam Presentation Lighter – Dated 1968 o as pictured.

Original Vietnam era lighters are highly sought after and heavily faked.

This is an original lighter dated 25th of September 1968.

It came direct from an Australian Vietnam Veteran’s family.

The side bearing the ROK flag translates to the following (google translate used).

“Chae Myung-sin, Commander of the Republic of Korea Army in Vietnam
1968.9.25″

Chae Myung-shin was a South Korean army officer who commanded South Korean military forces in the Vietnam War.

The bottom of the lighter is maker marked “A B C/ SUNMY INCHON/ KOREA”.

The lighter shell is in good to fair condition with some signs of wear and surface marks.

There is no engraving or maker mark on the flint tube which is in used and average condition.

It requires a new flint and wick.

It is a unique piece of history, perfect for display.
